The top Iranian diplomat made the comment on Wednesday during talks with his Indian Counterpart Subrahmanyam Jaishankar in New Delhi where he arrived earlier in the day on an official visit.
Amirabdollahian said that laying out a roadmap for cooperation between the two countries would help organize long-term relations and protect them from destructive factors.
Subrahmanyam, for his part, described his Iranian counterpart’s visit to India as important, and called for the formation of working groups to speed up the economic cooperation between the two sides.
The two ministers also discussed mutual cooperation on developing Iran’s Chabahar Port and other regional corridors.
They discussed the situation in Afghanistan as well.
